Tesla began offering an RMB 6,000 ($860) discount in China on Wednesday for people who buy some models from the company’s inventory for delivery by the end of this year. The offer comes along with an additional rebate of RMB 4,000 on the buyers’ end of the year orders, which the company announced on Nov. 8. On Oct. 24, the US automaker cut the prices of its standard Model 3 sedan by RMB 14,000 and its Model Y sports utility vehicle by RMB 20,000 in a move to boost year-end sales.
