Geely is maintaining its target of over 140,000 electric vehicle deliveries of its premium Zeekr brand in 2023 despite intensifying competition in the Chinese auto industry, Andy An, Geely’s president and Zeekr’s chief executive, said on Tuesday during an earnings meeting. Specifically, the automaker expects to deliver 70,000 units of its 001 hatchback sedan and 30,000 units of the 009, a multi-purpose vehicle, while Zeekr X, a compact crossover scheduled for delivery in the third quarter, is expected to provide the rest. The company delivered 8,571 Zeekr-branded vehicles between January and February, and launched an incentive package worth RMB 80,000 ($11,614) on March 16, after dozens of rivals cut prices to boost sales.
